Korean Barbecue

Prime Beef

The prime rib isn't too different from backyard barbecue steaks. KBBQers dunk their bites in a salt-and-sesame oil mix. Top this cut with scallion salad and soybean paste (doenjang) for a salty, savory dressing. You can eat prime beef just like samyeopsal, wrapped in lettuce with garlic and doenjang.

Pork Belly

Pork belly, called Samgyeopsal in Korean, is a boneless cut of fatty meat from the belly of a pig. Pork belly is usually wrapped with lettuce and is eaten with other accessories such as garlic and doenjang. Samyeopsal is basically Korean bacon but isn't cut into tiny slices so the juice is still in the meat when you eat it.

Bulgogi

Bulgogi is one of Korea's most popular beef dishes that is made from thinly sliced sirloin or another prime cut of beef. It is usually marinated in a mixture of soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, garlic, onions, ginger, and sugar for two to four hours to enhance the flavor and its tenderization.
